Anybody want to talk “Big Brother?!”  Are we excited that it’s FINALLY back on!?!  Holy cow!  Finally.  Phew.  I don’t think I could’ve waited any longer.  Really.  With all this rain we’ve been having, I NEEDED my time in the California sunshine!

Let’s chat about the new guests on the show.  So far, I can see I might be a little annoyed by… a few of them.  I’m not a fan of being annoyed…  Did anybody watch it last summer?  If you did, then you know what I mean about ANNOYING players.  😉  But, they certainly will give us a lot to talk about!

Wednesday was the first episode, and it went pretty well.  I love that guy James’ accent, so cool.  He’s pretty relaxing to listen to, which I have a feeling is going to come in pretty handy, pretty soon.

So on the second episode it starts to get a bit crazy.  All of the 16 guests are now stuffed into the house, falling over the edges of the chairs in the living room because there just aren’t enough seats for everyone there!  The camera starts spending a lot of time of this guy Jace.  I don’t know about you, but I think he’s getting annoying already.  Isn’t he the guy that called a woman he didn’t even know “sweetie” or something like that?  Geez dude, you don’t even know her, how patronizing.  And he’s not even in his 70s!  Just don’t pinch her butt or you’re going get punched in the face.

Then there’s that other guy, Jason, wow.  He’s just too much for me.  I guess I don’t find histrionic personalities fun to watch.  Plus, the whole looking-like-Pee-wee-Herman thing is totally off-putting.  If you didn’t already know, Pee-wee was an odd guy who was in the entertainment business quite a while back.  He was caught masturbating in a children’s movie, surrounded by little kids.  Yeah I know, disgusting.

I’m not sure if I like Da’Vonne or not.  After the first episode I really thought she’d be my favorite, but after last night, I’m not so sure that’s going to be the case.  I am looking forward to seeing if the poker dealer and the poker player can feel each other out.  I bet that they do.  When you’re work in the same field as someone there’s an unwritten language between people.  If one recognizes the other… that could be interesting!  It might just blow up somebody’s game.

Vanessa, the poker player, is going to be interesting to watch.  She was right when she said that reading people, holding your own secrets well, and keeping a calm keel throughout the game will be essential to getting far.

I think Shelli is so cute!  And her attraction to the one and only attractive guy they put on the show is obvious, I mean, she was bright red when she was sitting next to him on the couch.  That’d be Clay the mighty fine farmer-man I’m talking about here.  Any girl would probably be like, “Uh huh, you fine man, come over here and talk to me.”  And Kaitlyn from “The Bachelorette” would probably like him…  I mean, because he’s a farmer, and you all know about her famous field-plowing comment…  😀

I think that Becky the outdoorsy girl from Colorado will probably do well.  I think she’ll fly under the radar because she’s quiet and calm (so far!) versus the others who are so loud and attention-seeking.  Those will be the ones who become everyone’s targets, sooner or later.

I’m a little worried about that guy John.  He looks like he’s sick, so hopefully he’s not.

Predictions on who’s going to the end?  Yikes.  That’s a hard one!  I think Shelli could do well.  She’s very together (except for around that Clay!).  Plus, she’s nice AND pretty so people won’t get too annoyed by having her around.  I think James has a good chance, for similar reasons.  He’s very calm, collected, and not a big guy so he’s not likely to be seen as a male threat, though he did win the first competition.  I think John might be smart enough to do it if his energy doesn’t get the worst of him with the other house guests.  Vanessa talks a good game, but I wouldn’t bet on her until I get to know her better.

So there you have it people, our summer has begun!  Let’s get to it and have fun out there.  Let us know YOUR thoughts in the comments by clicking the comment button above.

Do you guys think that Nick is playing Kaitlyn?  Or do you think the whole thing is fake and they didn’t really have sex?  It’s sooo hard to be sure, isn’t it?  Nick did seem to be a bit fake when he was with her in her room, saying certain things to maybe move her in the direction of sleeping with him.  They even showed him doing a bit of that with her in the bar; it was hard to tell if he was for real or just trying to get her to sleep with him.  She is a grown woman and can make her own decisions, so I don’t fault her for those, but there certainly are plenty of men (and women too) out there who lie to get sex.  It’s pretty creepy, and sadly desperate.

If that’s the case, as a few of you have suggested, then what do you think will happen next?  Will he turn into a creepy jerk and blow her off?  Will he hang around until he gets more exposure (like until she votes him off, if that happens), or will he take off now that he’s gotten what he wanted?

I’m curious to know what you think.  I think as ladies we’ve all probably had our unfair share of creeps, losers, and jerks.  Let’s share our wisdom with others in the comments!

Nick and Kaitlyn, Woo Hoo! Yea!

Tonight’s episode of “The Bachelorette,” you know we’ve got to talk about it!

OMG I can’t believe how crazy Ian is, holy BLANK!  He just keeps getting uglier and uglier.  Dude, do yourself a favor and watch this show back, with a psychologist so maybe you can get a clue about yourself.

So maybe you and Kaitlyn aren’t a match, ok, but that’s no reason to be an ass to her.  Maybe watch how other men behave respectfully to women and learn from that.  That’s an idea.

I have to say, a guy who is a salesman and who was a model, has to be a REALLY deep guy.  I mean, seriously.  So deep.  Wow.  And you are so right Ian, you MUST be the next Bachelor.  I mean really, we’d all be watching desperately ready to laugh our asses off at your bad behavior and the girls who “throw” themselves at you on the show.

I guess now you’re off to get yourself some sex.  Guess that’s what you call a really deep relationship?  The kind you can find on a dark corner late at night?  Or maybe, for you, a phone call away?  Can you say, hypocrite?  Creep?  Douche?  Yeah, I know you can.  I mean, you went to PRINCETON after all…

Bye bye Ian, Hel-LO Nick!  Woo hoo, things are about to get romantic!

Hmm mmm, Kaitlyn and Nick GET DOWN in her personal suite, behind closed doors, while their mics are still on???  Ok, that’s a bit weird.  Is this show totally fake or what?  Anyway, these two’s chemistry for each other seems VERY real to me, I don’t know how you can fake a totally red face like Kaitlyn had while they were together lol, do you?

I think it’s great that they found each other and have such strong chemistry, that doesn’t happen much in life.  Maybe that’s why so many women seem to be so angry and jealous about the situation.  I can’t imagine that all of these women calling Kaitlyn derogatory names on facebook are all virgins?  Even if they are, they still don’t have the right to call a grown woman nasty names for having consensual sex with a man she knows and is attracted to.  Maybe it’s not the choice that they would make, but that doesn’t give them the right to name-call.  That’s just classless.

It’s ok to be jealous, it’s not ok to be a jerk.  Keep that in mind.

At this point in the show it seems obvious who Kaitlyn is really into, Nick, Shawn and Jarrod.  The rest of you guys, we’ll see ya’ll around… lata’!

Kaitlyn Loves Ian!? Say it isn’t so!

Yeah, you’re right, it isn’t.

I think it went more like this:

Ian, wow, you’re too sexy for your shirt.  Really.  Well, at least you think so.  It’s sad to see a man who is so superficial.  We’re all super glad you get a lot of sex, really, we are.  We just really hope you are using a condom each and every time.

It’s also super important to us that your ex-girlfriend was attractive, because you know, that is really all women are for, objects to be admired.  Good thing you can prove your worth by telling us you had a pretty girl, phew.  Now you can die happy.

I think it’s great that Ian let Kaitlyn know what he are all about, I’ll bet she is SO happy.  Better to see the snake in front of you now, than to bring it home, let it into your life, and then watch it slither away, leaving you alone with your kids.

By the way, for those of you who don’t know, Ian is represented by the show as a classic narcissistic personality.  That’s a mental illness people!

So now on to some more pleasant topics.

Shawn B., mmm!  He is a good-looking guy who seems to be real.  I like that he and Kaitlyn are connecting, I can see that going somewhere for both of them.  I thought it was so cute when she said that when he told her that he was falling in love with her, that it felt like he was her husband telling her he loved her for the first time!  Aw!  🙂

It was also nice to see that JJ seems to be a decent person.  Now that he’s removed from the “Clint Monster,” maybe we can see what he’s really all about.  I think he just got sucked into a bad relationship with that guy.  Clint is really a scary dude, read all about it here:  https://sliceiconic.com/2015/06/08/clint-ick-yuck-ew/

Overall, tonight’s episode was a little bit bland, Kaitlyn’s relationship with Nick cooled off a bit, though they did have a few smoking-hot kisses that they were able to sneak in when they were alone.  I wonder if theirs is a flame-hot-and-then-die type of relationship, whereas the feelings she has for some of the other guys may be deeper and last longer.

Who are you all rooting for?  Let us know in the comments!  Who would you give YOUR rose to at this point?

One more guy…

Wow this girl gets it all, she’s a TV star, she has tons of men vying for her attention, she gets to experience world travel, and now, she gets to date one more guy, and he’s a hot one.

After the season is well-underway, suddenly Nick from a prior season shows up, telling Kaitlyn he’s all into her.  Apparently they’ve been texting for a while now, but have never talked on the phone or met in person (weird?).  When Nick shows up in front of her, it doesn’t take Kaitlyn-the-kisser long to do what she does best, make out with the guy.

Now, he is really good looking, so it’s hard to blame her for making that move!  It looks like they’re having a pretty good time together.  But then Kaitlyn has to make a BIG decision.

She can’t seem to shake that feeling that he is one of the ones for her!  So she has to decide, geez, should I let him stay around and compete for my “love?”  After much thought (well maybe one night’s worth), she decides, heck ya! he’s here to stay.

It’s pretty hard to argue with that decision, I mean didn’t you guys SEE how hot they were together?  It’d be hard to say no to that…

So the drama builds, as Kaitlyn-the-kisser’s other victims, holed up in a hotel room, get frustrated that one more man is going to be thrown into the mix.  I mean, they all get along (well mostly), which is kind-of weird, but this NEW GUY, I mean, ew, who wants to deal with one more guy?  At least that’s the sentiment in the hotel room.

The whole situation is weird, I mean, in real life, you’re competing with potentially billions of suitors, so why do you care if one more guy is coming in?

Well, some of the guys said it best, if she REALLY IS into you, then why would she bring in a new guy?  EXACTLY.  Smart guys.  She ISN’T really into you, she likes her options.  I guess she’s a player in her own right, dare I say a female Juan Pablo?  (Ew, yuck, spit, even saying that misogynist’s name makes me cringe!)  No, I don’t think she’s that bad, I do think she’s enjoying the chance to meet and date (and kiss) multiple guys though.

What do you think?

I love TV, if you couldn’t tell already 🙂  I have been watching TV for a very long time and I wanted to share my two cents on who I think are the very best of the best.  Without these individuals and their contributions, TV would be an  empty and boring place.  Many of these are supporting actors whose work can go unrecognized, but the reality is that without them the shows they work for would likely fail.  I hope that they are properly recognized by the people and organizations for whom they work.  I am not a follower of awards shows, but here are my humble opinions:

1.  Vanessa Ray who plays Officer Edit Jenko on “Blue Bloods” on CBS.  I just love this girl.  She is so real, so authentic.  She can be cute, she can be angry, she has such a range of abilities, and they are all believable.  I never once think “this is an actress.”  There are so many shows today where emotion seems to have been removed from the acting.  Humans are emotional beings (the healthy, normal ones), so seeing her bring this range of real emotional expression to the screen is a joy.

Guillermo Diaz who plays Huck on “Scandal.” By Work for hire owned by TGE (the group entertainment), [CC BY-SA 3.0, via Wikimedia Commons

2.  Guillermo Diaz who plays Huck on the hit drama “Scandal” on ABC.  He is extremely talented.  I think his work could be overlooked because of the role that he plays, but the episodes which have featured him have been some of the best TV or movie work that I have ever seen.  Captivating.  Real.  Intense.  Scary.

3.  Eden Sher, who plays Sue Sue Heck on “The Middle” on ABC is amazing and holds the show together.  While all of the actors on this show are excellent, she is the best in my opinion (Patricia Heaton is a close second).  She consistently brings the energy and weirdness her character demands, while also showing her softer side at times.

4.  Emily Bett Rickards who plays Felicity Smoak on “Arrow” on WB.  This girl just made being nerdy cool!  She’s so believable and has brought this character to a place where she is a positive role model for all females.

There you have it TV fans!  My top picks for TV actors in my currently watched shows.  Who are your favorites?  Please share in the comments section, I’d love to know!

Crazy + Drama = Crazy Drama…

The Bachelorette Gossip, capitals regular font and verdana for %22gossip%22

by

Suzanne Coleman, MD

This episode of “The Bachelorette” was full of the pre-requisite drama and crazy, stay tuned to find out more!  Let’s start at the beginning.

They are going to have the rose ceremony, you know, the one they were SUPPOSED to have at the end of last week’s episode?!  Omg, I can’t even remember what happened on that episode and NOW they’re having the rose ceremony?  Geez…  I feel totally disconnected from the show’s characters.  Am I the only one who thinks this is annoying?

But wait, before they even get to the rose ceremony, Kaitlyn has to deal with Kupa who seems to have gone off the deep end after she told him “eh, it ain’t gonna work for us.”  Kupa is yelling outside and everyone can hear him.  Kaitlyn ends up walking out there to tell him to basically grow up.  I think that how Kaitlyn handled things was good; she was classy and appropriately assertive when he was getting out of hand.

After she asks him to behave she goes back inside and they show that Kupa is still going crazy outside, but quietly, waving a drink in his hand as he gestures to the camera crew.  Maybe his drinking is part of his problem?  Unaware, back inside Kaitlyn hands out the roses from last week’s episode.  I can barely remember who most of these guys are or what happened, except “cupcake,” I can remember him :).  After it’s over, three more guys are gone, two of whom I don’t even think they ever showed in any of the scenes.

Next, it was on to today’s “date” festivities.  Sumo wrestling.  Wha’???  Yep, you heard me right!  Two massive sumo wrestling champions from Japan came to California to wrestle the tiny-in-comparison American boys.  L.O.L.!!  Hilarious.  Now, that’s good entertainment.  It was fun watching them easily push the guys around.

You gotta love those “diapers” that the wrestlers had to wear, how funny 🙂  I have a question though, and maybe I’m not alone.  Why did they pixelate the guys’ butts?  They don’t pixelate women’s cleavage.  It’s not really that different, and here we have just one more example of sexism in our society.  Let us see the butts!  I mean, seriously.

During the sumo wrestling, which is supposed to be all in fun, one of the contestants on the show, Tony, shows us again that he has some real mental health issues.  He gets very aggressive when it’s his turn to go, and then when he isn’t the “big man” he thinks that he is, his ego is hurt and he then deflects the blame for his extremely negative feelings on to Kaitlyn for “making” him feel that way.  He really needs to get some help from mental health professionals who can help him figure out his issues.  The things that he seems to do to try and get his life into better “balance,” like meditation, work to a degree in some ways but they are not sufficient to treat mental illnesses.  I hope he gets some help and can improve his ability to deal with life’s challenges.

Now on to the next date, a scary experiment.  For Kaitlyn’s one-on-one date with Ben Z., Chris Harrison set up this crazy “game.”  The two of them were locked in a dark set of rooms filled with scary stuff, like a haunted house.  They had to find clues in there and figure out how to turn those clues into numbers to open the door so they could get out before some “gas” was released into the rooms.  That was pretty creative I have to say!  I loved the part where the scary person wrapped in sheets that was on the bed got up and moved around!  OOoooo THAT was SCARY.

There were also things people are scared of, like live snakes and scorpions and pigeons in there.  “Wait, did you just say pigeons?” you ask.

“Yes, yes I did, pigeons.”

“Hmm, those aren’t scary…” you think.

“I know, I agree!” I say.

It seems that those were added especially for Kaitlyn who said she has a bird phobia.  I feel bad for her, birds are awesome.  Maybe not pigeons per se, but other birds like warblers and sparrows…  But it was funny to see her and Ben freak out at the things that scared them, as safe as they may be.

I don’t know what to say about the next group date, do you?  There are so many negative responses to it on facebook.  Kaitlyn had the gents talk to a group of young people about sex and the maturation process.  It was very weird, and awkward.  I’m all about education and people having the knowledge they need to make good decisions, but it was a bit odd the way that they did it.  During the episode they said that the kids were all actors, but still, odd.  I am hoping that like many kid actors they were much older than they were perceived to be, that would make me feel more comfortable about what happened there.

Now on to the really juicy stuff.  So the show has these two boys, I call them boys, because really they are so immature and strange, named Clint and JJ.  They are both very narcissistic and that makes them self-absorbed, but they also seem to have some seriously manipulative and abusive traits that make them appear to be little sociopaths (one in 75 men is a sociopath, one in 300 women is as well).  And like sociopaths, they also seem to lack empathy towards others.

I have always noticed that psychopaths (like both narcissists and sociopaths are) tend to be attracted to people with the same behaviors, and here we have the unusual mutual attraction between two men with many psychopathic behaviors.  It’s a bit scary to watch, but serves as a good example to everyone watching on how to AVOID people like this in your life!  HOLY COW.

The show ended with Kaitlyn about to confront creeper Clint about his lies and manipulative behaviors.  But, of course the show didn’t let us see what happens, we have to wait until next WEEK to find out.

I don’t know what they are thinking with their new format.  Almost all of the people commenting online are not happy about this nor about the other changes they have made, and they are saying they’ll stop watching because they dislike it so much.  I am wondering if the ratings are dropping off too, or if this is just a vocal minority speaking their mind.  As for me personally, I wish they would finish the show in one night like they used to, it’s hard to remember all of the details that lead up to the ending a week later.

Since we have the internet, I decided to try and find out how their ratings ARE doing.  I found that the ratings for last week’s episode were 5.37 million viewers.*  I also read that one of last season’s episodes was reported to have had the lowest number of viewers EVER at an estimated 5.6 million viewers.**  Uh oh, it looks like they really are losing viewers over these last few years, as this recent number is even lower than their lowest number EVER.  Maybe they should take a bit of time to read what viewers are saying online.  There are some really good suggestions on there as to what might be preferable to watch vs. what they have been doing lately.

They did post a call for new contestants at the end of the show, and these are live-in-person calls at various locations.  So maybe there is a chance that they are going back to the way more successful and popular format of several years ago.  We’ll see…

All things considered, Kaitlyn is growing on me a little bit, and that’s good.  This season should be interesting, there seem to be some good guys on it and she seems to actually be there to meet someone (but who knows…).  You can see that she is making strong connections with a few of them already.  Lucky her lol.

“Bachelorette” Missteps

The Bachelorette Gossip, capitals regular font and verdana for %22gossip%22

by,

Suzanne Coleman, MD

I thought that the season preview footage that they showed at the end of the this week’s episode of “The Bachelorette” was very disturbing.  It was implying that Kaitlyn had sex with one of the men on the show and that afterwards she felt terrible about it, and basically acted like her life was over.  Wow.  What country is this?  What century?  Disturbing.

This isn’t to say that there is never a reason to be upset about making what you later feel is a bad decision, but their portrayal of the situation took women back 1000 years.

Let’s discuss some basics here.  Human beings are animals.  All creatures exist for one reason only, biologically, and that is to reproduce.  Our entire body and existence is to serve that one purpose, to propagate the species.  There is absolutely nothing wrong with the feelings, drives, desires and actions which lead to that.  It is only through the attempts to control and manipulate the behaviors of others which societies have been enacting for centuries that this becomes so “confusing.”

In summary, when it comes to sex the only thing you need to decide is whether a decision is right for you and anyone else involved, that’s it.  Be safe and plan for what you want out of life, but grown women should not be writhing with horror and regret at having consensual sex, ridiculous.  Sad.  Manipulative.  Controlling.  Misogynistic.  Let’s end that.

They’re BAAACK! The Bachelorette “twins” make their appearance

Hey everybody!  Hope you fared well since “The Bachelor” ended.  I can’t believe it’s time for “The Bachelorette” to start up already!

Tonight was the first episode, the one where the guys get out of the limos, or in this case, motorized cupcakes?  Hmm… where the heck did he get that thing anyway?  Ok, and what did you think of the “carpool?”  That was cool.  I’m not sure how comfortable that guy was wearing wet pants for the rest of the night though, what do you think?

Choosing between two girls, who then have to choose between 25 guys, an interesting premise.  I think they could really do something interesting with this idea, but it sounds like it won’t be going very far, after tomorrow’s follow-up episode, they say it’ll be just one girl.  The guys voted tonight on which one they’d rather get to know, and the other one, well, maybe she’ll be the NEXT Bachelorette?  Should we vote on that?  😉 lol

Watching these two ladies, I’m not a fan of either one.  I’m hoping the show will still be worth watching just to see what happens between all of the other people on it; relationships can be so interesting.

Britt is still SO FAKE.  I just can’t see her being happy in a relationship until she realizes who she really is.  Until then, it’s like she’s putting on a show, and I don’t even think she realizes it, but it’s getting really old (read about histrionic personality:  extra dramatic and overly sexual to get attention).

Kaitlyn seems ok, but then they replayed her jokes from last season, and they are pretty classless in my opinion, but hey, it looks like at least one guy gets her sense of humor/class.  Hope it works out for her.  Neither girl lacks in the looks department.  Kaitlyn does look at bit underweight to me though, which is concerning, especially with her ever-present anxiety issues on today’s episode (eating disorders are a type of anxiety disorder, not that I am saying that she has either).

Ok, now on to some of the crazy characters on the show.  What did you all think about “the drunk guy?”  Pretty convenient huh?  Doesn’t this make the third season with a drunk guy on it?  I think the first one was real, maybe the second one was too, but this one, seemed REALLY FAKE.  Seriously, he did not look drunk, his eyes were sharp and clear and his movements were deliberate, even when he stumbled at the pool, his glass of liquor didn’t even spill at all.  If you fell, drunk or not, wouldn’t you think you’d spill that glass?  Un huh.  And what about him going in the pool?  That brought a lot of drama the other season when a guy did that too.  Re-play much?  I guess the only thing he did that I haven’t seen done before was pat a raunchy girl on her ass.  Funny how that fits the personality she portrays in her jokes, but she wasn’t liking it on the show.  Maybe she should learn some new jokes…

And maybe the weirdest one of all, the “amateur sex coach.”  Um, whaaaa’?  Ok, that is some messed up stuff.  I hope nobody gets involved with this guy until he figures out what his issues really are.  Yikes.  Anybody who thinks a woman is a “play toy” might actually need to be playing for the other team.

So which lucky woman will get to talk to these gents again?  (Minus the drunk guy who got booted off of the show by a stern Chris Harrison.  I think for a second there Chris thought he was about to get decked when he told the guy he needed to leave!  And that guy was built too.  Good thing that that very large security guard was nearby or we might have seen Chris Harrison’s body being carried overhead through the complex and dumped into the pretty blue pool lol!)

There are a couple of guys on there that seem really decent, I look forward to watching to see more of what they’re all about.

Then we came to the end of tonight’s episode, and the answer of the big question, WHO WILL BE THIS SEASON’S BACHELORETTE?!  Well, um, maybe not.  In the last 5 minutes I realized that they weren’t going to tell us the outcome of the votes tonight.  Ugh.  It was all too “Survivor.”  Chris Harrison even quoted the show with his “I’m going to go tally the votes.”  And then he never came back and they flew back to LA while we all waited on the edge of our seats!  …  Ok, that last part didn’t happen, but it COULD HAVE!

We’ll all have to tune in tomorrow to find out who will be this season’s Bachelorette, Britt or Kaitlyn.  When the votes are counted, I think Kaitlyn will have to win for the show to have any real feel to it at all.  We’ll see!  What do you think will happen?

I can’t believe it’s already Wednesday again!  Last week’s episode of “Survivor” had tongues wagging about what Will did to Shirin.  It was pretty clear that he was WAY out of line.  I think everybody pretty much agreed on that!  The thing is, why didn’t he see it?

I’m sure you all probably saw what happened.  Somebody told Will that other people in the tribe thought he was lying about sharing all of his secret food reward stash with the group.  I think it was Rodney, wasn’t it, who first started saying this about Will behind his back and trying to get everybody else to believe him?  But Rodney’s name never came up…

So somebody tells Will about these conversations and he gets it in his head that it was Shirin that was targeting him, calling him a liar.  I think that he did that because he sees her as an easy abuse target, probably because for whatever reason people haven’t really clicked with her in the game, so he thinks he can attack her and no one will come to stand beside her.  Therefore, Will can just let her have it, and get away with it.  Well, he was right. He started yelling at her, expressing his anger at being called a liar (he wasn’t lying, so that I get), but then he morphed into evil abuser Will and wouldn’t shut up.  He pulled apart her soul, attacking her entire life and her emotional weaknesses.  The poor woman has had a difficult life, she doesn’t need this ass to bully her over it. But he wouldn’t stop, and no one there, not one person, did a thing to intervene.  It was almost like it was a play, and those were their roles, to sit dumbly by, and let him crush her with his emotionally abusive behavior.  It was sick.

Finally Mike came back to camp and pulled her out of there while she was still sitting there in total shock that Will was being so evil.  Then, when they were away from the others, we all saw how it affected her.

I, good person that I am, was thinking that when Will opened up his mouth at the challenge after that, that he was surely going to apologize for his terrible behavior.  But no, that isn’t what happened.  Not at all.

What happened next was that Will showed that he truly is an abuser.  He believed that his verbal and emotional abuse of this other person was a normal way to behave. This tells me that he likely grew up in an environment where this was their “normal.”  People, let me tell you, this is NOT normal.  If you can’t deal with your frustrations with other people in a constructive and respectful way, then you need to walk away.  And if after you cool off you still can’t do it the right way, then you need to get some help. Counseling is a great way to truly improve your health and well-being and to make you a better person to those around you.  And if you have issues like Will, you need to take this step to learn what behaviors are healthy and what behaviors are not healthy. Abusing others is never acceptable.  There is no excuse for that behavior, period.  Counseling can show you how to repair the damages that life has done to the way that you see the world and interact with it, helping you to be a better person for yourself and for those around you.

After last week’s abusive incident, some people on facebook were questioning why the producers of “Survivor” allowed it to happen.  That is a great question.  I would bet that it’s because it is “Survivor.”  Survival of the fittest, a true challenge of one’s humanity, strength, and resilience.

I think that when Shirin finally spoke out against Will, her abuser, she regained her strength.  Even if no one else had stood up for her, she needed to stand up for herself, and she finally did that, arm raised high and all.  Good for you girl, I am behind you, I think we all are on this one.  Just look around.
